Man, You Should Try To Take A Shot, Can't You See My Walls Are Crumbling?

Man, You Should Try To Take A Shot, Can't You See My Walls Are Crumbling?

I miss you
I know I shouldn't
I messaged you
Then I turned and ran
I know better by now
I'll only bring chaos into your life
I live on the hope that we've grown while apart
But we both know it meant growing apart.
Would we try to recapture the flame extinguished?
Would we embark on a new voyage?
Would we set fire to our landlocked love?
Would I convince you of my love in 1000 days?
Ten thousand days?
Would you wrap your arms around me?
Would the years fade away like shadows from the firelight?
Would you find comfort in my arms?
In my words?
In my deeds?
Would they be filled with thorns?
Would you let me care for you?
Would you let me provide for and nurture you?
Would I merely drain your cup with another hole pricked pin?
I don't have any of the answers.
My mind circles and spirals and jettisons unasked questions.
Only one question sticks out and matters:
Will you forgive me?
